They are well established in the market, and many have had the experience of “tasting the Mezcal worm” with their signature Reposado.

It's delicious, the hangover was pretty benign and it's head-and-shoulders the best agave-based drink that I have ever had. I say this because some other reviewers have complained that not receiving the worm bottle spoiled their experience. It shows very little burn and has a dry persistent finish offering great complexity, with an earthy array of flavours.It is made and distilled in the Oaxaca region of Mexico using 100% agave plants using centuries old techniques and traditions but most famously, each bottle contains the Con Gusano larvae… It has an aroma of spicy, oaky, green leafy notes. not 1 worm at the bottom of the bottle for one lucky chap/chapess, so everyone can experience the Mexican way. Golden pale amber colour, smoky agave and grilled pineapple to the nose and a soft palate of grilled fruit, prune and light minerals. Mezcal is the distilled juice of the Agave cactus, and always contains the worm that lived within the plant.

This bottle has an agave worm in the main bottle and included is a minature bottle with lots of agave worms in it so if sharing shots everyone could have a worm. Legend says that the worm gives strength to anyone brave enough to eat and some even believe it acts as an aphrodisiac.
